Great website by YES studio for Management and Production (M.A.P). The agency was founded in London twenty years ago by the Director Julie Brown to enable a small group of photographers to have support in the development of their burgeoning artistic and photographic careers. The agency has since grown organically and now has offices in London, New York and Sydney representing artists in the fields of fashion, advertising, editorial and art. The new website with its sleek and minimalist design, enables you to discover the latest work of established and emerging photographers, creative directors and stylist represented by the agency. A real treat for your eyes and a great source of inspiration.
His latest work was published on ELLE US of September 2011, but it’s never too late to discover or rediscover (for those acquainted to fashion magazines) the work of photographer Laurie Bartley. His images have an interesting cinematic approach. Each one of them uses the bare essentials of location and lighting creating simple yet exceptional istants of everyday life. A real joy for the eye.
Belgian born lingerie brand La fille d’O is all about skin. The best way to talk about skin is to show it, but that is not always easy. The boundaries of today’s chastity have never been so obscure. Therefore one is swiftly caught in the web of censorship, dictated by online community’s police. La fille d’O was tired of following those skinless rules. So Belgian based advertising agency Famous created Obscura, macGyver’s paperclip to share your love for the beauty of skin. Go! Create your own doors of perception. What’s Obscura for? Censor your photos, hide sensitive data or just add some suggestion and turn any innocent photo into something funny. How does Obscura work? Take a photo with your iPhone or select one from your photo library, choose a filter to censor your photo and share it to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr. (via ‘Obscura by La Fille d’O)
I’ve always dreamt of having a rhino attached to my neck. Or at least, now I do, since stumbling upon jewelry designer Kiel Mead necklaces, those with animal shapes but also the more daring—and now signature—pieces, like the retainer necklace.
Out of matchsticks, car keys, previously chewed gum, string and even onomatopoeias, Kiel fashions jewelry which is overtly non-descript into pieces of desire. Kiel’s innovative designs have been featured in magazines, museums and myriad web sites. Since Christmas is not that far aways have a look at his stunning work on his online shop for some gift inspiration.
If Coverjunkie (featured last week) was not enough and you need more shots of magazine cover, have a look at Modesquisse, a collection of fashion illustrations on
magazine and book covers.

I Hate My Collection - 1st TEASER (by Markus Nylaander)
“Willie Greene almost needs no introduction. This 16-yr old from North Carolina brought some Southern flair to NYFW. Strutting his stuff like the fierce man that he is, Willie proved he’s fearless when it comes to the art of fashion. Fusing men’s, women’s and all that’s in between, he pulled the best of the best from the NMRKT style closet including the grey Buckler sweater, WAH WAH translucent cross necklace, Retro Super Future sunnies (left) and another signature Buckler collared shirt. (Also, check this stunner outfit out).
Oh, and did we mention he started his own magazine, WeTheUrban, back in 2009? Yeah, Editor-in-Chief, at 15. NYC can’t wait till you come back, Willie, but in the meantime, keep up with his killer eye with his blog.” — NMRKT
